Software Sample Player
VSamp is a software sample player. It comprises a program for creating and playing virtual instruments and a plugin for playing VSamp instruments from within a sequencer.

This is the first dedicated sample player, other than EXPS24, I have owned. I use VSamp as a plug-in in Logic Express. The authenticity of the samples is astounding, as is ease of use.
Samples are accessed by download, once you have a registered copy, which if you a slow connection (as I do), can take a while to build up your library. It is worth the wait, though. I now have an excellent string section at my command!
Grumbles? A rather slim manual - probably because the software is very straightforward to use. As I said, I am a first-timer, so would appreciate a bit more general background on using samples - the filters and envelope modellers, etc.
I've only given VSamp four stars, because I suspect that there are pro software samplers, costing hundreds, with many more features, but in terms of VFM and functionality, this is an excellent tool.
