Important Notes

* V6, V7, and V8 can all run concurrently on the same computer. However, V8 and Waves versions V4 and V5 cannot.

* All previous versions of products that you update will be removed from your iLok and replaced by V8. After updating to V8, you will not be able to use these versions again.

* V8 is not supported on Mac G5 and below. To ensure your system is compatible with Waves V8, check our Tech Specs page

Waves has just released new V7r16 installers. V7 Users: These new installers do not require new authorizations; they will uninstall all previously installed V7 plugins.

V7r16 installers include two bug fixes for C6 Multiband Compressor sidechain component:

1. C6 TDM sidechain component now maintains 67 samples of latency in bypass mode.

2. C6 TDM sidechain mono component: Band 5 sidechain now works properly.

V7r10 installers include the following bug fixes:

Mac & PC:

1. SuperTap: Modulation now works in TDM

2. SuperTap: Snap-to-grid feature now works in VST3

3. CLA-2A, CLA-3A & CLA-76: Attenuation meter no longer shows full attenuation when playback is stopped (on some hosts)

4. V-Comp: Attenuation meter no longer shows -20dB attenuation when playback is stopped (on some hosts)

5. JJP Drums: On Kick In and Snare Top modes, the gate no longer continues to work when set to minimum

6. Renaissance Compressor & Renaissance Axx: Meters are now calibrated

7. Vocal Rider: No longer stops reading automation when changing controllers value

8. Center, LoAir, PuigTec & WNS: added support for SoundGrid

9. SoundShifter (Parametric/AudioSuite): No longer crashes when double clicking controls multiple times

10. SoundShifter (Parametric/AudioSuite): Text entry functionality corrected

11. GTR Stomp 2/4/6: Loading and exiting stomp menu no longer resets stomps to default value

Mac Only:

1. RTAS support for Avid Media Composer (added functionality)

2. Waves GTR Solo Authorizer: GTR Solo authorizer 7.1 no longer looks for GTRSoloLib 7.0

3. Digital Performer: Plugin sidechain no longer stops working when playback is stopped

V7r9 installers include the following bug fixes:

Mac & PC:
1. MultiRack Native: Memory no longer leaks when opening & closing sessions.
2. SoundShifter: Audio is no longer delayed when processing more than one track.
3. GTR Amp: DSP no longer crashes in HD mode.

Mac Only:
1. Digital Performer "Bounce to Disk" is no longer "glitchy."

Mac & PC:
1. H-Delay Native now clears buffer when in bypass.
2. H-Delay mono Native: the Phase control now reverses the phase.
3. Renaissance Equalizer: Automation backward compatibility for the REQ mono "Fader left out" parameter is now restored.
4. Vocal Rider Automation buttons are now disabled under MultiRack and D-Show.
5. Vocal Rider now saves the Automation mode correctly.

Mac Only:
1. GTR ToolRack, GTR Solo ToolRack & GTR Stomp: Studio 1 no longer crashes when switching presets.
2. Vocal Rider no longer crashes Digital Performer 7 while writing automation.
3. Digital Performer: Reading automation written to multiple controls simultaneously no longer reads only one control.

Waves releases new V7r7 installers, including the following bug fixes for Pro Tools:
1. Digidesign control surfaces - Fine tuning (Command + Dial) now works properly.
2. Continuous Automation longer than 1 minute now works properly.
