Outil de Programmation Musicale

Symbolic Composer est l'un des langages de programmation de musique les plus riches disponibles.
Ce n'est pas le langage de musique le plus simple, il contient 600 bibliothèques de fonctions musicales de composition dont les modules mathématiques suivants: chaos, fractales, séries, progressions, morphs, interpolations, plus un système complet d'échelles et de cordes orhestrales, ainsi que 300 tunings expérimentaux, avec une structure de commandes d'instruments et 256 canaux MIDI réalisés en standard MIDI. L'environnement de programmation permet l'examen graphique et la manipulation poussée de toutes les données compositionnelles.

Compatible with Lion, Leopard and Snow Leopard, 2 GB RAM minimum, 4-16 GB RAM suggested.

PC with Windows Operating System. Minimum 1 GB memory, 2-4 GB suggested for large projects, 200-500 MB hard disk space.

version 6.2.8, MacOS X UB

Symbolic composer (scom pour les intimes) est un environnement de composition vraiment excellent.
J'ai utilisé (et utilise encore) la plupart de ses concurrents (grace/common music, pwgl, AcToolbox, AthenaCL, SuperCollider etc...) mais scom dépasse en efficacité tout le monde grace à son énorme collection de fonctions toutes reliables les une avec les autres..
De plus il est tres facile d'y ajouté des fonctions.
Le langage demande bien sur un investissement en temps d'apprentissage (comme tout ce genre d'outils) mais on se sent vraiment récompensé quand on peux en tirer tout ce que l'on peut imaginer.
Vraiment excellent ! !
