MIDI LFOs and envelopes

Enhance your synths and effects with MidiShaper. Powered by Curve's unique modulation engine, MidiShaper brings Curve's flexible yet powerful LFOs and envelopes to all your favorite synthesizers and effects.

Four LFOs and four envelope generators work together in a sophisticated modulations matrix which can be set up to output modulated pitch, modwheel, channel aftertouch or any MIDI control messages.

MidiShaper's LFOs can be ever-running or retriggered, synced to your host sequencer from a buzzy 1/128 to an expansive 32 bars, set to the played note, or free-running from 0.02 Hz up to the audible range and brain frequency. Just as Curve, MidiShaper features completely editable waveforms for its LFOs.

If your plugin or host sequencer allows for MIDI control, you have a great tool at hand to create vivid, inspiring sounds, and bring the flexibility of Curve to your favorite software plugins or hardware synths.

We've added a new drawing tool which allows to quickly add steps in the waveform.
Waveform points are more clearly visible and buttons are bigger and more responsive.
MidiShaper is now all dark. And blue! Many users have asked us for this change. If you belong to the ones who preferred the old white layout, please excuse our change to a dark skin.
In MidiShaper, it's now possible to resize the waveform area.
For PanCake, we've added a running light which shows the position within the audio nicely.

All our plugins now feature multi-selection of waveform points via ALT-click, to move, scale, mirror or delete multiple points at once — for even more comfortable and faster waveform editing.

And we've updated all of them to the latest Cableguys codebase, bringing small bug fixes, a reduced CPU usage and smoother UI control.

This update brings fixes for bugs that got introduced with MidiShaper 1.2:

  • In many cases, assigning more than one modulation target was broken.

  • The envelopes ignored most Note-Off messages.

  • Routing multiple LFOs or envelopes to the same modulation target did not add modulations correctly any more.

    Sometimes an LFO stopped playing after changing its sync mode, and produced spikes directly after playing a note. Both issues are fixed now.

With some hosts and plugins this works better than the current method, and we'd love if as many users as possible help us with testing the beta.
