This new version resolves the following issues

Pitch shift problem at sample rates that are not a multiple of 22.05 k is fixed. Filter cutoff is the same at different sample rates

(previously the cutoff would increase at higher sample rates - only really noticeable when you get up to 88k and higher). The plugin now goes into attack and release phases sample-accurately.
This new version of the M-Tron saves the currently selected Tape Bank, has a fully functional keyboard and has a drop-down menu for Tape Bank selection. When loading a new set of Tapes you will no longer see the Tapes Loading screen. It has been completely rewritten, optimized and is much more CPU efficient.

Je l'avais acheté en juin 2001 (Vst) puis complété en déc 2002 (vol 2) et upgradé (AU) en juin 2oo5.
En décembre, je fais l'upgrade UB/Intel et M Tron Pro avec un prix "upgrade".
Cette émulation du Mellotron passe un nouveau cap. Le Dvd reçu ce jour contient 3,5 Go de samples. Install faite sans pb !
Le Tron Pro est plus copieux et plus doté que la précédente version. Beaucoup plus de possibilités d'édition et de combinaison de sons. Des effets (Delay...). De nombreux patches. Bref une vrai upgrade. Pas de déception à réception de cette version ! et des sons toujours granuleux. Cet outil est impec !

Un outil très typé vintage, pour ceux qui ont aimé King Crimson, Yes, Genesis, JethroTull et Strawberry fields forever... et bien d 'autres...
Utilisation simplissime, mais peu de possibilités d'édition (attack, volume, tune), et tessiture limitée à celle du clavier de l'époque... C'est donc une émulation "brute" de l'instrument tel qu'il était.
Mais le SON est là (cordes, choeurs, flutes, sax et quelques effets rigolos...) et peut s'adapter aux musiques d'aujourd'hui.
Quand on met en regard des sons de cordes super clean et ultra "numérique" émanant de synthés lambda... on sent la différence. Ya un grain Mellotron inimitable...
Un excellent achat pour compléter sa palette de patchs (notamment Vol 1 et 2).
